Softball tournaments scoring an economic home run in Hartford

HARTFORD, Conn. – Two upcoming softball tournaments are expected to generate more than $3 million in revenue for local businesses, according to the Connecticut Convention & Sports Bureau.

The two tournaments are the United States Specialty Sports Association’s World Series National Championships and the Amateur Softball Association of America’s 10U and 12U Class A Girls Eastern Territorial Fast Pitch Softball Tournament.

The first tournament is scheduled for a week and will include more than 40 fast-pitch softball teams. The second tournament will begin July 29th and run to August 2nd.
