Aligned Data Centers to construct $300 million facility in Plano

PLANO, Texas — Aligned Data Centers, a subsidiary of Connecticut’s Aligned Energy, is constructing a new $300 million, 30-megawatt data center in Plano.

The new facility will be 300,000 square feet once completed and is the first of many new locations that will come online nationwide in the next couple of years. The data center will be located 2800 Summit Ave., and will lease megawatts to tenants by demand rather than on a per-megawatt basis.

Aligned Data Centers was founded six years ago, and the new facility will feature an ultra-efficient operating system, which will save the company tremendously both in energy and water consumption. The first phase of the new facility will be 100,000 square feet and completed by November, with the remaining 200,000 square feet slated to be built in the near future.
